Where to start . . .
I guess I'll tell you a bit
about my personal life before I get into the boring business stuff .
. .
Obviously, my name is Mike
Steup. In case you're trying to figure out how to pronounce my
last name, let me give you some help - you won't believe how many
different pronunciations I've heard over the years. It's just
like the word 'stoop.'
Alright, enough with the
grammar lesson!
I've lived just outside of
Pittsburgh, PA for all of my 23 years. I just graduated from
the University of Pittsburgh in April of '04 with a Bachelor of Arts
degree. I eventually want to go back to school to become an
architect.
I'm a huge sports fan, but
baseball is probably my favorite sport to watch. My favorite
team is obviously the Pittsburgh Pirates, but I'm also a pretty big
Yankee fan (no, I'm not a bandwagon fan - I've been a fan of the
Yankees since I was about 10).
Let's see, other things I
like . . . Oh, I love playing with my dog (he's a Shepherd - Collie
mix named Champ). He has this thing with chasing balls, and
pretty much anything else you throw. Here's a picture of him

He really is a great
dog. He's about 5 years old (human years, that is).
Anyway, I started my
college career at Penn State, then transferred to Pitt after my
freshman year. It was at Penn State that I began experimenting
with online business when I started using one of those Paid-to-Surf
programs. I was pretty darn skeptical, but I actually made
some extra spending cash.
From there, I moved on to
the Paid-to-Read Email programs, but those were a complete
bust. I actually threw in the towel after this, but then I
discovered sell items on Ebay and someone else would ship it for
me! I thought that was the greatest thing in the world, but I
really didn't like it.
So, I took some time and
read up on some marketing and business books and decided to try my
hand in MLM and affiliate programs. It didn't take me long to
kick the MLM's out the window, but I stuck with the affiliate
programs.
Anyway, I don't want to
bore you with all the details, so I'll skip the two years or so when
I was in a rut making a few bucks here and there on affiliate
sales. I finally got my stuff together and started collecting
email addresses of my visitors, and everything fell into place after
that.
I know have 7 sites.
Not all of them are finished yet, but I'm working hard to get them
ready as soon as possible. Ezine-Know-How.com
is what I like to call my 'office' - everything I've done has
stemmed from this site.
EzineMarketingReport.com
is my site for my Ezine of the same name. Feel free to drop by
and sign up.
EzineBattlePlan.com
is the site of my first ebook. I can tell you one thing - all
those years ago, sitting in my dorm room at Penn State, I never
imagined I'd have my own book! It still can't believe it
sometimes. But, this is a book explaining everything I have
learned about running a successful Ezine. Check it out if
you're interested.
ListBuildingMyths.com
is a site I'm still working on. When it's finished (which will
be very soon, hopefully!), you'll be able to download my free report
on the myths of list building that are keeping many from achieving
success with their Ezine.
Does anyone notice a
recurring theme here, or is it just me?
JVBuddy.com
is also a work in progress. Finally, a site not about Ezines,
right? Wrong. JV Buddy is a software application I'm
working on that will quickly generate several types of subscription
forms that allow you to easily launch joint ventures to help build
your list. Look out for this one soon.
ViralMarketingReports.com
is my membership site I'm working on. This one probably will
be my most successful venture. I really don't want to get into
this one too much, cause I'm still working out the details.
But I'm very excited about this one.
Well, there you have
it. That brings us up to the present. I really hope I
didn't bore you too much with my little story. Please feel
free to drop me a line if you have any questions, or if you just
wanna chat.

All
the Best,

Mike
